New Holland 278 Hayliner

I've found this baler for $1500. The guy has been baling with it this year, and it makes a good looking bale. There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with it otherwise, but I was wondering if anyone here has an opinion on it or could give me some advice on operating and maintaining this baler. I'll only be putting up 1000 bales or so a year with it. Thanks!

If it makes a good bale then it would be worth $1500 where I live.

If you know, or know someone who knows those balers they can almost go "forever". They are simple machines and if you know how to work on them they do well. I have seen those older balers out bale newer ones. Go for it unless the gear box goes bad or something like that it will likely be the last baler you will need.
