New Hampshire Hail Storm

Yesterday (7/11) there was a thunderstorm that blew through NH and hit Exeter hard around 12:15. I had left work for lunch and I was right in front of the hospital when it started to hail, I knew they had a parking garage and managed to get in there and save my truck from serious damage. Some were not as lucky as the next couple of photo's show. Most were taken as cars came into that parking garage for shelter, the red car was seen in the area today, probably thousands of vehicles in that area that look similar. There are Ford, Dodge, and Saab Dealerships along the same stretch of road with every vehicle on their lot damaged. Pretty wild day...

That's wild stuff Bill. The autobody shops will have a field day for the next few months. Glad you made it into the garage!

I saw on NECN that Marblehead (MA) harbor got spanked by a similar storm (the same day I think). Video showed good-sized sailboats tossed up onto land and smaller power boats sunk.

I'm from the next town southeast of Exeter. The car dealers had over $1 million in hail damage to inventory. Most of the new cars will get totalled & go to auction.

That little red one reminded me of a new Mercury that a nurse working at the Ft.Knox Hospital ,(with my wife) in 1953 purchased. You all know auto were not anything like todays prices, she got a whopping $1000 discount. Looked like Fred Astaire had done a tap dance all over. But it was a NEW Mercury.

Hope you get fair treatment from insurance. And they don't go up on your rates.
