Hello all. Must say, lots of tractor brain power going back and forth amongst members that if attatched to a pto generator of some kind it could conceivably make this country much more energy independant. I was hoping to tap into some of that talent and get some input on rear remote install for a woods bh90x (with hydrualic thumb) I plan to get this fall. I want to prep the tractor's hydraulics in the simplist way to accept the BH. I have read many great conversations regarding this, but lots of overkill for what I want. I just want to run the backhoe, nothing else. I have a L4330 hydrostat with 853 FEL and a simple rear non hydraulic blade that works fine for me. TnT cyclinders and lots of joy sticks eminating from stackable spools mounted on rear fenders are for the more serious minded tractor owners that desire the immense versatility these hook-ups offer. As for me, I don't even have a quick attach front bucket, but i am fine with that. I only have 5 acres and just want a bh to remove some stumps etc.. I am pumped for installing my own hydraulics but really don't know where to start. I do know I have an open center flow system. I do know where the hydrualic manifold is and which line the PB is. I just need to know how to divert the PB back to the rear of the tractor where I will have the QD's mounted, and would the QD's need to be male or female: I assume I will need two of them to allow for input and return of fluid. I am thinking I would need to get a solenoid ( or is it called spool) that has center flow, and with out a relief on it because my FEL already has the relief valve incorporated into the system. I also believe that it most definately needs a PB port, with probably two valves attached to it basically making it a three valve assembly, right? Measuring for hose length and getting them made seems straight forward. I am thinking they are NPT 3/8" lines, not sure. I also would get the swival adaptors as others have noted. Oh, and should it be detent? If someone could steer me to a simple assembly for just this purpose, I would greatly appreciate it.
