- 1953 Farmall Cub - 1964 110 John Deere - 1960 Economy Jim Dandy
Hello everyone,
I live in Maryland, on the Eastern Shore. We are sort of our own rural community still; despite plenty of what we call "chicken neckers" moving in from DC and all with their big city ideas.
Anyway, I own a couple little tractors a 1953 Farmall Cub, and a 1960 Economy Jim Dandy. The Farmall is in good shape and runs smoothly, we use it around our pole barn for cutting the lawn and small jobs. The "Jim Dandy" I got from an Army buddy of mine after OEF. She had to be completely rebuilt, new tires, new fuel tank, paint, the works. I have attached a photo for all to see.
PS: We use the term "chicken necker", as that is what people on the "western shore" use to crab on the Chesapeake Bay... Kent Islander's traditionally have used "bull lips" I understand, or so the story goes. Yet like an old water man friend of mine once told me (he uses whatever is cheapest) ... It's all in good fun, but I will say in the last election hardly anyone voted for how the rest of the State wanted to live. Maybe that's why we have a drone in this County; but never mind!
