New Grapple

/ New Grapple #21
Another question - I've wondered ever since I got my grapple about the fancy step that is on the top - center of my grapple. Now in Steve's first post - see the step on the top - each side of his - you got to look at each of his pics to see both of his steps.

What in the world do the manufacturers have in mind that the step(s) on either grapple will be used for??

It is for stepping on when entering a skid steer.

Well - by golly Travis - thank you. You have helped me reach my goal for the day - learn something new every day. No - I've been wondering ever since I got the grapple four years ago. I could not hardly see me - balancing on that little step and doing much of anything.

I'm glad I could help, man!
It's my goal to help people reach their goals every day.

Its not for getting onto your tractor by using that step and then walking over the hood?

I've stood up on that step, once - just to see if there was something I was missing. Never occurred about use on a skid steer.

Ah - AKA - - Southern Yellow pine. More or less the same density as the Ponderosa pine here.

Guess I am a little late to the discussion (lol) but ! I am about to order a Blue Diamond 66 inch light duty grapple and it looks to be pretty much a match for your grapple .
I also noticed that the Tomahawk 66 inch double lid grapple is very similar as well. Just wondering if your grapple is still performing well ?
