Hello all. My search for a new tractor with a cab began about 6 months ago while moving snow here in the northeast. My wife asked, "when are you going to get a cab tractor?" I had been using a Kioti CK30 for the last 15 years. I have nothing bad to say about that tractor. Dealing with the loader arm issue was a bit of a pain, but I bought new arms and installed myself. The tractor never went back to the dealer for any problems even after 1840 hours. First of all, I am fortunate to have two Kubota dealers within 1/2 hour of my home, (I'm in the middle). This was a big part of my decision to go with Kubota. I had great experiences while shopping at both dealers and I knew it would come down to the trade offer. I was initially interested in the L3560HSTC LIMITED EDITION, but my when my wife found out I was settling for a tractor with a few less bells and whistles, she kept asking why would I do that. Yes, I know you can add some of the stuff back on and save a few dollars. Anyway, I received a very good trade offer from one dealer and decided to get the non-limited L3560 and my wife went along to the dealer. It didn't take long and I was agreeing to upgrade to the L4060. Then, I added rear lights, rear wiper, rear defroster, HD bucket with cutting edge, and a set of hydraulic remotes. It's been a little over a week and going from the CK30 to this 4060 was a huge upgrade. The Kioti was a great tractor for it's size, but this new L4060 is an upgrade in so many ways. Quiter, (yes, I know - the cab), loader with SSQA, etc, etc. And, snow removal next year will be more comfortable while listening to the radio and probably only needing a sweatshirt! By the way, I only looked at one other brand, a Massey Ferguson cab model 35 horse. Very nice tractor with a lot of options included. Cab seemed a bit smaller, but all in all, the Kubota felt more comfortable to me with the control layout. Plus, the dealer appeared to carry multiple brands and was an hour away. Kioti was out because the one I would likely deal with is nearly two hours away. The closest to me has maybe 3 tractors on their lot. The dealer I dealt with for the CK30 is gone. John Deere was not considered. I'm just not a fan of JD. I just knew the HST + on the Kubota would be something I would like to have and I was right. I wanted all the electronic stuff as well. So far, I'm thrilled with my decision. I've probably said "wow" out loud at least once everytime I use it. That will wear off after a while, but I think it may take some time! Thanks tbn for letting me brag a little. I'll get some pictures on here soon.
