Not really sure and haven't tried much yet but how exactly does the auto throttle work. Seems like when I engage the auto lock, the hst pedal gets stiff. Do I need to engage or do something else? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Kubota forum. The Grand L's are great tractors.

If you search on "Talon Auto Throttle" in the main Kubota forum you will find lots of info on how the Grand L's Auto Throttle works.

Was this a typo "when I engage the auto lock, the hst pedal gets stiff."? Did you mean "auto throttle"? If so I suspect the actual throttle cable may be kinked or binding. If you take off the right engine panel (as you sit in the seat), you can see the throttle cables where they attach to the throttle body. One is for the hand throttle and the other is for the hst pedal.

WITH THE ENGINE OFF you can play with the hst pedal and Auto Throttle lever to see if how it all works and see if there is something binding the Auto Throttle cable.
