I want to add a bypass filter to add more filtration. However, I always delay because I don't know where to tap into a circuit. Looking through the service manual, I saw a page for the tilt seat. I took the tilt seat off my 1845 because I didn’t like it much. I just connected the two hoses together per Terry’s instruction. However, it occurred to me that this circuit could be an easy option to add a filter. From the enclosed schematic, can anyone determine how I would do it?

Marrt.

The best place that I can think of, is you put the high pressure filter in the ends of the PTO hose. On the filter, mount a quick disconnect to match the input and output of the PTO circuit, and just plug it in when you want to filter. If you want to leave it hooked to the PTO circuit, connect the output of the filter inline with the attached hyd motor, and just leave it there while running the hydraulic powered attachments. When you finish with the attachments, connect the filter up so that you are filtering every time you are running the PTO . If the filter has a gage, you should note the pressure at first start up for reference, and keep track of filter pressure, in order to replace when it starts to clog. Just my humble opinion. The filter can be mounted to the lift arms, or some where convenient.
