Tractor
2013 Kioti DK40SE HST
Hello folks

I just recently (6 weeks or so) took delivery of 2013 DK40. I'm a new operator so I've been taking it slow, learning my way. The tractor just turned 10 hours today and problem as follows:
I had been brush hogging approx 2.5-3 hours. Finished that job and went to push dirt back into septic tank hole (dugout clean outs to have it pumped w/ hand shovel, thought I'd push soil bag in the two holes w/ bucket edge). As I pushed dirt, I realized appeared to be issue w/ bucket rotating up/down. I backed off then onto nice level driveway and Nothing! My bucket would not roll up or down. Also, my FEL would not rise above the cowling covering the engine!????

Thoughts? Potential problems? Solutions????:confused3:

Have you checked the loader QD's under the right step? You may have hit something and dislodged something.

Those QDs can become disconnected totally or partially depending on where you were brush hogging. The best way to check is to disconnect and reconnect, knowing that they are fully engaged.

BINGO :drink:

That's it. Two of my 4 QD's were detached. I just reattached. My fluid now low on dipstick. Assume I'm replacing w/ standard hydraulic fluid from tractor dealer? I have Kubota dealer nearby, Kioti dealer bit of a hike.....:)

The original fluid is a 10w30 multi weight hydraulic oil good for common sump, (brakes, gears and hydraulic pump). Kabotas have the same system but may use a slight different weight oil. Just check with them. You might be able to find the oil cheaper at a NAPA, Tractor Supply Center, or some have even found it at Walmart. If you have any oil supply warehouses in the area, check your manual. It should list other manufacture oils that meet spec.

If you have a TSC nearby their Traveller Premium works just fine.
