Hi All,
Just wanted to thank everyone for the help choosing a tractor. I received a new DK35 HST from Rick & Amy Wallace on Friday. It's a nice machine, but much bigger than my Ford 8n.
With the advice of everyone here and Rick, I find I really like the HST. It was actually fun mowing my fields, not having to shift constantly. Unfortunately, I also found that I can no longer duck below all the branches. Well, I can, but the ROPS doesn't want to bend
. Guess I have a lot of trimming to do.
It also does a much nicer job on my 2200 ft of road. It pulls my 4 ft box blade much easier than the ford 8n, allowing me to move the dirt/rocks without spinning wheels.
Finally, I appreciate the patience Wallace tractor had with me (especially Amy). They did a bang-up job teaching me about the tractor, and getting it to me very quickly, even with the additional rear remote).
