Kioti DK 55-New Holland EC-35
Got my new rig yesterday. Traded up from a DK 35 . It has industrail tires, Norse 45o logging winch and self leveling loader. With three ranges this thing will go anywhere and is smooth as silk to operate . I threw the winch cable this a.m. testing it out so need to imediatelty replace the clutch pads. CAble got pinched between the clutch and drive plate, big mess. I do have a question about the self leveling bucket. It does not seem to curl all of the way , is there a reason and or can this be fixed. Once I get the bugs out this thing will be awesome. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Gmol,

Congrats on your new tractor /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

As far as the self leveling bucket,, that is the way they are. When I first used mine, I thought the same thing. Didn't seem to curl all the way, but I have always been able to get it full and never lose anything that I have had in it.

Good luck with your new machine,,,,, RedDog Kioti DK 65

Spent 2 hours at my gravel bank this morning getting accustomed to the machine. I really miss being able to giggle the bucket to curl and get the load to settle in better. It dug and pushed like no tomorrow however. I am making a grill gaurd now and will get the winch back in action monday . This tractor has the exhaust coming out the front end which is nice , don't have to worry about trees getting in the way.Smooth as silk to operate and oodles of lifting power.

Got my winch back together yesterday. New clutch plates after 1 hour of use. The spool back lashed real bad, resulting in the cable getting pinched between the pressure plate and the spool. After some choice words I got it back together, This thing rocks. Went out and tested it the afternnon. Cut a tree that would have taken 3-4 hitches with the DK 35 setup and got it all out in one. Skidded in M range 2 nd. gear uphill no sweat. If any one has secong thoughts about buying up , JUST DO IT !!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Congratulations! Do you notice any differences in smoothness when shifting the gears compared to your DK35? Do you notice any differences in your hydraulics? How is the room on the operator's platform compared to the DK35? Could you provide some photos of your new cockpit? Sounds like you have a real workhorse! Drool, drool and more drool.

When I get the tractor back home I will take some pictures. It is out working now. Today we laid out a 18x36 stome patio. Some of the stones were 5x6 feet and up to 4" thick. Did some weird sling work but once they were off the ground I never had a clue I had something in the bucket. The tractor is amazingly stable ,The hyraulics are much smoother than the DK 35 , more flow . The shuttle is a dream to shift but the range change can be a bit sticky, no big deal . The lowest range is creeper and a nice feature for finesse with heavy loads. 1/2 yard bucket filled to the brim with New Engalnd Granite does not faze it a bit. The cockpit is huge, feels like you are sitting an a tub, down low with fenders around you.Yet you are up in the air with a treamendous amount of ground clearance.
