New CT440 and now a busted grill....

Should have listened to my wife.... New CT440 and I busted the grill. Wife was calling for dinner but keep saying just this last one and I'll be there.... . Anyway it happened when putting away the big stump that I removed and decided to put it on the very top of the pile and as I backing up the lower pile moved and one stump rolled down and hit the tire. I said no big deal and park the tractor. But when I checked it again I saw the grill busted . Should have installed that grill guard I'm planning to install in the spring. Now it will be a prority before I can go back digging... I started grinding the grill guard to so I can put it ON without removing the mount for my snow blower. Will be doing the welding tomorrow. Took a couple of pics with the busted grill and the fitting of the grill guard plate in front of the blower mount....

I feel your pain! but for me it was the hood, even worse

Get some of the the expanded grate type material and attach to the brush gaurd. I move a lot of brush piles using my grapple and it has saved my grill many times. I attach mine using #16 copper wire so I can easily replace or repair it. Home Depot or Lowes sells the 24" x 24" sheets for $19.

I feel your pain too. Got this while using the grapple the other day. It was an easy fix, but I've gotta be more careful.
