New Cleaner Diesel Fuel

I heard that the new cleaner diesel fuel is on the market soon. Do I need to add some type of additive to it or is it fine like it is. I have a 2003 NH TC33D tractor.

ULSD (<15 ppm sulphur) should just about be available everywhere in the next few weeks. I have been using it in my tractor and bulldozer for the last few weeks with no issues. There is no need to do anything to the fuel as the refiners have added the necessary lubricants to replace the sulphur that was removed. The lubricity of ULSD meets or exceeds that of the previous LSD fuel.

If you are the type of person who worries alot then you can add some Power Service to your fuel but it is not really necessary.

This has been discussed dozens of time already in this forum. Do a search for ULSD and you will find enough reading to last for several nights.

Don't worry...your distributor will add enough dirt, water, and sulfur to keep it just within spec.

He won't be adding sulphur. That is now illegal and the monetary fines from the EPA will quickly put him out of business.
