I heard that the new cleaner diesel fuel is on the market soon. Do I need to add some type of additive to it or is it fine like it is. I have a 2003 NH TC33D tractor.
Thanks

ULSD (<15 ppm sulphur) should just about be available everywhere in the next few weeks. I have been using it in my tractor and bulldozer for the last few weeks with no issues. There is no need to do anything to the fuel as the refiners have added the necessary lubricants to replace the sulphur that was removed. The lubricity of ULSD meets or exceeds that of the previous LSD fuel.NYBOB said:I heard that the new cleaner diesel fuel is on the market soon. He won't be adding sulphur. That is now illegal and the monetary fines from the EPA will quickly put him out of business.cp1969 said:Don't worry...your distributor will add enough dirt, water, and sulfur to keep it just within spec.
