Finally made the decision to purchase and wanted to let you guys in on the happy day. Went away shortly after receiving but have managed to put a few hours on it so far...

Wow! You really did your reading didn't you? I see you got the toothbar and a grill guard as well. You may want to consider having some expansion metal welded into the open spaces of your grill guard as sticks, etc. can get through those large holes.

Thanks guys..pulled my first stump out today with the backhoe..takes a little getting use to but stump was about 8" in diameter and out within an 1hr or so...what fun....Thanks to you TBNer's you should also notice the rear work light and the lift hooks welded to the bucket....bitten by the bug I guess...wanted to take pic of the stump to post but wife jumped on and loaded it up to dump in the woods....geez..she told me she didn't like tractors...oh well..havin fun...

Congratulations on the new TLB. It will sure make getting those jobs done much easier and especially more fun. My wife didn't show much interest when I was buying mine. I showed her how to run it and now I have a hard time getting her to park it. Now if I can convince her to do some of the snowplowing this winter, I'll have it made.

Bear..she just laughed and shook her head...thinks I'm nuts for spending so much time reading about this stuff...thats ok..don't get the pampered chef stuff either...brains wired different I guess...heres another pic of arrival day...another question...what is the optimal engine rpm for most work? Tractor seems sluggish at low rpm (hst) however picks up and runs well around 2600 rpm..is that to fast to run it or should it run at high rpm whenever under load? Dealer says diesels are made to run at higher rpms and its better to run them wide open..thoughs?

I run my HST around 22 - 2300 for normal bombing around.

I was told not to run it full throttle until it was broken in (50 hrs)

I have had to run it wide open a few times when I needed the extra power, like when I pulled this rock out of the ground.
