Well yesterday morning I woke up and told the wife "Lets go buy the Kubota BX!". Off we went... and we put our money down on a BX2360 w/ FEL and 54" finishing 3pt mower. I was going to buy a used B7800, but it was a lot easier to swallow putting down some money and 0% financing then writing a large check, plus I have no need on my property for the larger frame tractor. I was looking at the 1860, but went to the 2360 for the addded size and PTO hp.

Wife didn't want the MMM because it wasn't a drive over... and was worried about taking it on and off because I am on travel a lot for work. PLan on adding a tiller and bush hog in the spring.

I lurked here looking at opinions, I shopped for 2 weeks. Looked at used Kobatas, at new Kiotis, Bobcat, M Fergesons, and JDs. Decided on the Kubota BX for size, price and reputation for reliability. I liked the routing off the hydraulics better then what I saw on the Kioti and Bobcat.

Our tractor will be delivered later this week and all I have for it right now is a receipt and a couple ball caps. The dealer was very helpful, as all of them I looked at except one.

Thanks TracorByNet forums for the help in my decision. Sure I will be here once in a while to stay up on whats up with BX series Kubotas.

Congratulations on you new BX, I think you will really like it.

If you are going to get a tiller or rotary cutter, some dealers will finance it all with the tractor; probably too late now though.

Congratulation! Wear those hats with pride. Probably not to late to add the implements to the 0% if you haven't taken delivery yet.

Its not to late. I don't think the tiller is a Kubota implement, so no 0% on that... I am just gonna wait on those implements for when I need them next spring (after tax returns). I do nee do Bush Hog some places around the property, but I hopefully can borrow my neighbors:)

I didn't finance any of my stuff, but my dealer handles Land Pride and was told I could put it in with the tractor if I wanted to finance.

You will be limited to about a 48" bush hog, so if your neighbors is that size or smaller, you should be OK, may have to get another PTO shaft is all.

I financed my boxblade (made by United) through Kubota financing. The main thing I wished I added was the toothbar. For what I've been working on that would have been the most useful. But, like you said, wait til tax time .

Will do & thanks for the reminder. I go up Wednesday to meet with the dealer. They are gonna familiarize the wife and I with the tractor and I will take a look. I know what to look for from other posts on this forum. If it doesn't have it I am gonna ask for it to be installed. Should have it delivered on Thursday.:D

Dealer called today and the tractor was ready, so I took a half day off and wife and I went and had them go through it with us. It was delivered today and I since have moved my back "40" and some other areas. I varied the Rpms some during the mowing. I noticed mowing the yard was easy enough and it cut my time in half for sure. Mowing around the "forested" area was not as fun with the bucket hanging on one side and the rear mower hanging on the other...Plus the ROPS finds over hanging limbs pretty easily :D I was thinking of getting weights for up front and removing the bucket for when doing that chore... but it is not a must do on the list.

My BX2360 has the new HST fan guard that was posted and talked about in some of the other threads. That was the first thing I checked when I got to my dealer. The build date on the machine is June.

As far as using my neighbors bush hog, he has a bigger machine and the deck and drive shaft are a no go... oh well... waiting till spring on that... I bet it doesn't even snow now because of my new toy. Last year bought a 4x4 and no snow :)
