New \'bota soon!

3 days and counting to a new L3710 - can't wait. The old Farmall just doesn't cut it any more. I tested the NH TC40D and the L3710 (both with HST) and have got to admit the orange has it all over the blue for smooth action in the loader and the hydro. Would be nice if Kubota worked in some of those blue features like the semi-swivel seat, better loader mechanism and the hi/low shift on the loader. Try as I might I couldn't get repeatable simultaneous action on the NH loader (i.e. lift and curl the bucket at the same time). Also plan to be working in the woods quite a bit and did have some real concerns about a plastic nose. 'Botas lower CG and metal snout are fine with me. Forum's been a great help. Anybody interested in a Farmall Super C with a trip bucket and wide front end?

Restoring an old connected farm-house and barn (as time permits). Big old place that needs a bit of TLC - as do the fields and orchard. This could take a while.

Re: New \'bota soon!

AndyR,

Welcome! I have to admit being jealous of your pending arrival. As my signature indicates, I'm still a wannabe tractor owner. /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif I'm sure you will find this forum to be a valuable and interesting source of information for all kinds of tractor (and non-tractor) related stuff. I think I speak for everyone when I say that we look forward to hearing about your new tractor and the projects you complete with it. You're going to have lots of fun! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Welcome aboard, Andy! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

You're getting one helluva tractor there, buddy! Enough to make a whole bunch of us more than a little envious.

Keep us posted when the big day comes, and of course we demand pictures. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Re: New \'bota soon!

Welcome to TBN Andy and congratulation on your new Kubota.

Looks like your Kubota going to arrive just in time for some nasty weather...plus it will give you a chance to pratice before mud season. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

The best time to sell your Farmall in May early June...how much are you asking also the year.

Hang in there less than 3 full days now..remember were from the granite state.."Like a Rock" /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Re: New \'bota soon!

Congrats from another envious guy. Wife talked me out of trading larger since we'll be moving in 2-3 years for her residency training. Wanted the L3710. Still love mine, but no comparison. Have fun and be safe.

Re: New \'bota soon!

Thanks all! I'm looking forward to more weather./w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif We still have about 18'' (not feet as previously posted!) on the ground. Wife and I out tracking on sunday and found fisher, coyote, fox and snowshoe tracks in the draw near the back of the property.

I used an L3600 that belongs to the mason working on the barn foundation after the last big storm - my old tractor just couldn't take it. The 3710 will set a few other projects back but it'll take me a while to get this silly grin off my face anyway. Attachment is my place (yeah - it is all connected together). (tractor doesn't get here till Thursday).

[No fancy graphics - yet] Restoring an old connected farm-house and barn and farmstead. This could take a while.
Edited by AndyR on 02/20/01 09:01 AM (server time).

Re: New \'bota soon!

Andy -

Seems to me I once bought a picture puzzle that looked similar to your property, only maybe not quite as pretty. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Now, I paid money for that puzzle, and yet here I can download your picture for free!

Napster, eat your heart out! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Re: New \'bota soon!

Andy, that's a beautiful place! It's so nice to see green again (the non tractor green anyway /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif) even if only in a photo. Of course, with 18 feet of snow on the ground, I bet you can't even get in our out of your house /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
