I installed factory rubber isolator rear body mounts on my john deere 420 garden tractor. This lifted the body up about 1" and subsequently lifted the gas tank filler neck up and now the gas tank is not being supported by the frame. Now all the weight of the gas tank is resting on the filler neck at the rear body. It may eventually slice the gas tank open if I ignore the problem. I am looking for the official John Deere remedy for this problem. I can stuff a 1" block under the gas tank but I want to know the correct way john deere intended for this to work.
