I get my B7610 w/LA352 FEL in the morning. Hope the grass is dry to cut. I am taking the day off just to cut grass (play). But I hope I did not mess up. The Kubota literature, their Web site and the operator's manual I picked up today conflict. The literature and web site list up to a 72" rear mower weighting 585 pounds. I went for the Land Pride 60" rear discharge which weighs about 497 pounds. But the manual indicates the limit is 300 pounds and 60 inches for a rear discharge mower (2 or 3 blades). Am I under or over? (The mid mower width also conflicts). I don't think I will have a problem. At least everything is flat or rolling. The ditches are too small to even try.

I did try the mower out on a B7800 and the B7610. The front was light on both without weights.

So what is the deal between the owners manual, the web site and the literature. There are other things

I've wondered the same thing about the RFM. Like you stated, the brochures state 72" RFM and the manual states 60" RFM. From what I've heard, the 7610 should work with the 72" RFM. Mine has NO trouble powering the 60" MMM off my mid PTO, so I'd have to agree that the 72" will work fine for "normal" mowing. Tall and/or wet grass would prob be an issue.

As far as the weight is concerned, I think it has to do with how much rear ballest the tractor can safely take without making the front too light. There are front weights that can be used however. (which btw: the manual states that only 3 weights can be used? I'm sure the front can handle more weight than that...after all it takes the loader and 800 lbs)

I don't believe that it's a 3pt lift issue. At a rating something like 1060 lbs (24" behind the link ends) 500-600 lbs should be a piece a cake. I use a carry all to lift pallets full of firewood - which lifts the front end up a tad....even with the loader on.

So yes, I too have been confused about the low weight ratings, when (obviously) the tractor will do it.

-cheers

350 pounds is most likely the limit before the front lifts when you stomp on the accelerator. On the weights the manual indicated a maximum of weights but the accessory literature/dealer installed options list indicats you need the weight bracket P/N B8063 to attach 2 additional weights for the B7610 among others.

Anybody got the bracket P/N B8063? I would be interested in seeing a picture. I want to take the FEL loader off and add weight when and if my son cut the grass. I can see it now. I look out the window and all I see is the top of the ROPES and the hat on his head. What is the excuss. "The horses needes a pool to exercise. I saw it on the Discovery Channel."

The front will not lift with a 60" Landpride rear discharge mower. It may get a little light going up a hill, but I drive around with my loader off and my 60" LP mower up and it is no issue. 95% of the time, you'll have the mower pulling along the ground, so I'm no sure why you're so worried about it. I would run it before spending money on weights. A 60" LandPride rear finish mower on that tractor is easy work for it. No issues.

Got the B7610 this morning. The 60 inch deck works great with the FEL on. I will have to take the FEL off and try some weight on the front. The deck did a nice job even through tall wet grass. We have not cut for two weeks. I was able to cut in low around the house then riased the deck 1-1/2 inched and cut the samll pasture in high running a little faster or as fast as my kidneys would allow.

I needed 4WD on the wet areas or it get squirmy and only bumped one fence post wiht the FEL.
