New B7100 owner

I recently aquired a 1977 Kubota B7100. I have a drag blade and am waiting on delivery of an after market loader. Does anyone have a line on parts and empliments that fit or can be modified to fit the B7100? :tractor:

I have a 1977 B7100 also. Any parts I have ever needed (not many) I have gotten from a local dealer or from Messics. As far as implements go, any cat 1 three point hitch type will connect to this tractor.

Congratulations on your new tractor!

My suggestion for one of the first things to change if it hasn't already been done is the rear wheel axle clamps. I believe the B7300 clamps will fit. The later clamps were a better design and take the "slop" out of the clamp. I've owned a 7100, a 7300 and currently B3300. The axle clamp was one of the sore points of the 7100 for me. I never could take the "wobble" out of the clamps.

Lots of parts on EBay including the axle clamps, if needed. Most 3 point category implements will fit, be sure to size them to the tractor (not too big).

I've had mine for almost 20 years, runs like new.

Thanks All, I will look into new rear axle clamps, am glad I found this site and all of you. I look forward to sharing your past experiences and all of our future ones. Has anyone used stabilizer arms? I have an old set but the B7100 does not seem to have stabilizer brackets.

I found new B7300 axle hubs on E-Bay, is this the same thing as the clamp?

As far as implements go, any cat 1 three point hitch type will connect to this tractor.

Just because they are cat 1 and will "fit" does not mean they will work best for a tractor the size of a B1700. Many implements that are cat 1 will be very wide and can cause problems it you intend on adding a 3ph tilt cylinder. Also there are many cat 1 implements that exceed the weight limits on the 3ph of a B7100.

Congrats on the purchase, learn to take your time a B7100 is a very capable machine but you must respect it's limitations. It will do the same work as many much bigger and more powerful tractors it will just take longer.

Thank you for the advice, I will be using it for snow removal in the winter and to skid birch logs and load the trailer in summer. I know I will have to cut the trunks of the birch up the keep them light enough but the B7100 is small enough to get back in to them. I'm sure I'll find plenty of other uses for it as I get accustomed to it though.

My only complaint for the B7100 is the lack of power steering which makes using a FEL difficult. I added power steering and have no complaints. Plenty of attachments are sized right. I use a front mount snow blower, a backhoe, 6' snow plow, belly mower, and a wood chipper. A 7 kw PTO generator will be added soon.
