Kubota B2630 & ZD323
B2630, FEL, Landpride 60" Rotary cutter, Landpride 58" reverse tiller, and the ZD 323 for cutting the grass.

Thank you all that contribute your nuggets of wisdom to this forum. I believe it has helped me to select the right equipment for me...the first time. I would also like to thank Neil from Messicks who was very friendly and gave me a great quote which I used to get an equally great price from my local dealer. He is also the reason I got the 2630 instead of the 2X20 series (love the dealer rebate!).

They should both be delivered tomorrow. The only thing not coming tomorrow is the Landpride tiller - RTR1558.

If I can pull myself away from playing with them for long enough, I will post some pics since I know you all love pics so much!

Thanks to all,
Rob Glaser

Thanks TripleR! The truck should be in the driveway by 1:30pm. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve. Time has essentially stopped.

They are both home and working well. Had a few dealer issues with stuff not being added to tractor and fluids low etc., but both machines are up and running now. The B2630 ran the 60" Land Pride rotary cutter very well. I was going pretty slow. Even after walking the area (~1.5 acres waist to sholder height) I "found" 2 cinder blocks with the rotary cutter. Blades are intact but tips don't look as sharp as I think they were before the cinder block encounter. It seems to run fine, should I just keep using it or sharpen the blades first?

The ZD323 is way more fun than I expected, wife loves it too. She mowed 3-3.5 acres with it in a little less than 2 hours and she was going pretty slow most of the time (her 1st time on a zero turn).

Pics to be uploaded soon - waiting on internet to get hooked up at the house.

Thanks again you all!

I really doubt there that dull being as new as they're, even though you did hit cinder blocks. Rotary cutters don't have to have blades that are super sharp like say a finish mower because rotary cutters are more intended to beat the grass and objects down, where as a finish mower finely cuts them. I say go back at it and not worry about, you should be fine. Just make sure nothing is bent

Sounds like an awesome combo, years of fun to come.

I would inspect the blades on the rotary cutter but wouldn't expect there to be a problem. When I was running mine late last year I backed it into a pile of bricks that I used to make one of my walkways, I completely forgot they were there. It took me a couple seconds to realize it was bricks and not sticks making all the racket. By the time it was over I had a nice pile of brick chips. I have cut about 10 more times since then and while the blades are pretty beat they work just fine.

Congrats on the purchase! Sounds like a sweet setup.

Don't worry about the blades unless you just want to. I beat mine up real bad and they just keep on cutting.

So was the 2630 inline with 2x20 pricing? I heard they are making some good deals on the 30 series right now.

The 2630 was less than 1000 more than the 2920 and that included the added cost for the bigger implements. A deal I could not pass up.

Anyone looking to buy a tractor should read as much of this forum as possible before their purchase. I saved thousands because of the knowledge I got from here and I likely would have not bought the right equipment the first time either. I owe you all! Will post pics tonight when I get home.
