New "B" series catalog..

I find it interesting that the new "B" series catalog has been made public in this forum, and there seems to be very little interest. Anyone care to comment?

This reminds me of the JD2320 I haven't compared specs of the 2 but it does look like a nice tractor.
I wish we could get a firm ETA and some Pricing

Just in case it's been overlooked:

Finally, some info on the new small B series TLB's.

I definitely like some of the TLB features, like the tractor-integrated-joystick (that's a big cost upgrade on the B3030 & B7800), the single swivel seat, the more compact backhoe platform (as opposed to an add-on backhoe with it's own seat), and the factory optional thumb.

If the pricing is right, I have to seriously consider the 2920. I really like the TLB setups of the BX22 and L35 that I've used. The B26 is a bit overkill for me, and the engine is a bit underpowered for a 4000 lb machine at my elevation, so I think the 2920 can suit my needs pretty well, so long as I can deal without independent PTO & Position Control (still pondering that one). I think I can live with the smaller 6.5' backhoe, compared with the 7' or 7.5'.

It's amazing how being tractorless can make you re-evaluate your 'needs' compared with your 'wants', and think about how much 'overkill' you can really justify, or do without. Especially when there's a full size TLB available 5 minutes down the road to handle the really big projects.

Probably to many good features for the crowd. I bet the other manufacturers are on to them to try to catch up!

I expect that the "transmission driven" pto was a misprint for the hydrostatic transmission, just as they say the manual transmission is 9/3 on one page, and 6/2 on another. Maybe Art, or Neil could clarify that. Did you notice that the boom swing on the Backhoe is 150 degrees, and not 180?

Have you ever looked at the NH TC26DA? It has been out for years and still specs out better than these Kubotas. There are a few features these new Kubotas have that the NH doesn't, but few and minor.

This is very true, problem was that the TC26 price was much higher than other tractors in its class. So much so, that CNH just discontinued it. It was a great tractor, it just did not fit what a majority of customers where looking for.

I'd assume that "tansmission driven PTO" is in reference to the gear drive model. Any of that information is based upon 1st draft literature and probably has errors.

I think it's tougher to get a full 180* swing on the smaller factory TLB's. I think the B26 is 180, and the L35 is also 180. But the BX's are only 140*, which was at times, a pain to not have the full 180* when using a BX22, and definitely something to consider, but I think personally, I could live with the 150* swing with only occasionally thinking "I wish it were 180". To me, some of the other TLB features outweigh the backhoe boom size and swing issues. I can get the full 180* on the Woods or Kubota hoes for the B7800 or B3030, because they sit a little further back on the machine.

A bigger issue to me is FEL bucket rollback at 30* or less, but there isn't much I can do about that, since all of the models I'm considering are that way.

It's always going to be a compromise, and since I figure anything less than the L39 is going to be a machine that I'm going to have to "settle" on, I figure I'll go with whatever smaller machine has the best balance between features (or lack thereof), because there is no way I could justify an L39 for my situation.

I'm well aware of the CNH tractor line-up and there are times I might recommend them to people. I have found that there is nothing like a three range hydro for digging or just normal transport. The next best thing is the Cadet Yanmar range shift on the fly on the new 2600 sub-compact. If IH would have had a three or more range hydro they probably would still be building 120 horsepower hydro's today!
