new alternator, now won't start

Replaced the dynamo in my B7610 HST. Put in a 40 amp alternator kit which I purchased from dealer. Followed instructions to install. Now the starter cranks the engine just fine. However, the engine will not catch and run. I am getting ready to uninstall and put dynamo back in, just to see if it starts. Prior to alternator installation, no problems of any kind starting, electrical or anything else. Battery is strong. Any ideas? Thanks

Check your fuses.

Try fuses as suggested to se if any have blown.
I'd re-check your installation. If starter is turning then the bat terminal seems right.

You might need to look at only the other wiring as you may have wiring going back to the fuse box mixed up - just on the wrong terminal at the back of your alternator.

Also, are all your instruments working & are they working correctly?

does this have a key-off fuel solenoid and/or an electric fuel lift pump?

got it started...plugged original relay back in to original harness. Also plugged new relay into new harness. This allows some kind of a solenoid,fuel switch ?? something that creates an obvious click when key is turned on. Charging at 14.6 volts, thanks for replies.
