bought a new air filter for our 2810 and went with wix #42276 per their app guide and thought I would share a few comments about it.
Ordered mine from rockauto for $19 (just do a part number search)
The only thing different about it was the rubber seal on the back was a different design and was a little taller. But because of the shape will flex outward forming a nice seal. Because of this the filter didn't seem to fit, but after lubing the rubber with some wd-40 it was able to flare out easier and fit perfect. I probably could have just cranked harder on the wingnut, but didn't want to strip it, and then thought of the wd-40 which worked great. It also came with a new rubber washer that goes on the wing nut, I thought that was nice.
wish I would have taken a pic sorry
Also noticed wix lists an inner filter (#42456) that goes with this filter for some applications. That would be nice to have better air filtration. I might order one for the heck of it and see if it fits.
For what its worth the wix# should cross with other brands like baldwin, fleetguard, and donaldson if your brand picky.
