Kubota B26 TLB, Allis Chalmers D17 series IV, Kubota ZG-23 Mower, Kubota ZD 1211, Kawasaki Mule 610, Stihl 361, Stihl 045 AV Super, and a Stihl 660 Ported and tuned
I have been looking a new 5030 with a cab, HST, loaded ag tires, LA853 loader, skid steer type quick disconnect bucket system, 4wd. What is a good price? I have been getting quotes around $32,000 with tax. If you buy over the internet do you still have to pay sales tax? How do you like this tractor if you have one? Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Gene:

We are just about neighbors and you have good taste. My unit is exactly like yours except I have the R-4's rather than the R-1's.

Your dealer is about right on the dollar amount. I paid $32,130 for mine, just after Christmas. Actually, I ordered one just after their introduction. The R4's are more expensive than the ag's and I have the excavation bucket, 72" wide and 3 sets of remotes. The material bucket will not stand up to the power the loader has. My personal preference is the R4's for the wider footprint which equates to better loader stability. The 853 has a lot of capacity and a high lift so you need a big footprint. I actually spaced my wheels at the widest offset too. I don't believe in loading tires, I made a set of weight adapters similar but not quite like the ez-weight system. Actually, they are so slick, I am thinking about producing them myself. I deal with Dans Farm Supply in Adrain, specifically, Steve Bolen. I have purchased my last 5 Kubotas there. Super folks and service to match. I had my 5030 for over a month before I ever signed any paper on it. Steve told me to try it out and if I didn't like it, return it. Needless to say, I didn't /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If you want to come and play with mine, send me a private message. It's nice to try before you buy!!

There is another poster on TBYNet that has a 5030 "MyToys". He might add to your inquiry.

Daryl,

Thanks for the offer. I've talked the wife into driving down to Coldwater tomorrow morning so I could try one out. I had to promise to buy her breakfast to get her to go. At Seyberts they have a couple of them in stock. I'd bettter get a good nights sleep since tomorrow is a big day! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Thanks Again,
Rick

We just got back from test driving the 5030. What a nice machine. It was cold and rainy outside today, but the cab was heated and quiet. Need to sell my other tractor first. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Did you stop by Wal Mart and Planet Powersports and look at the new sleds? After all, they are right down the street!!

I don't know your intended use for the 5030, but the M5000 is a nice tractor too. It's more of an Ag tractor and you can't get a hydro, but it's quite a bit stouter undercarriage wise. I would have gotten a unit in the M series, but I keep my 5030 in the garage next to my wifes pickup and door height was a consideration. Actually, the HSTC model is a little shorter height wise, than the non-cab model.

I actually had my wife drop me off at the dealer while she went to Walmart. That gave me some quality time alone with the 5030. My garage has a 7' high garage door so the tractor would have to stay in my pole barn. If I had it to do all over I'd definitely put at least an 8' high door on the garage. I do alot of loader work so I'm kind of looking forward to the Hydro transmission. It will take me a few weeks to sell my other tractor. It's only got 46 hours on it and I just love it, but I want a bigger machine. By the way my wife really rolled her eyes when I told her that the 5030 was designed so that you could add a radio or CD player.
