Today I placed the order for my 4310, 4wd, eHydro, R4s, Mid-PTO, 430 FEL, 47 backhoe, and 60" rotary broom. Got quotes from five dealers, which had a range of $1448 from high to low.
I settled on the second lowest price because of recommendation from other JD owners about that dealer, and the fact that he is in a county with a lower sales tax. Half a percent makes a difference. Plus the advice was unanimous in favor of this dealer.
Now the waiting begins.

Sounds like a very nice rig. You'll like having a back hoe.

tick, tick, tick, Is it here yet?

Do a search for Club 4310 and be prepared for a nice guy from Oklahoma to come asking for dues. (Not Really!)

Congratulations, you have bought a fine tractor and some handy gadgets. What is your primary use for the broom if you don't mind my asking?

Congrats on the new Deere - Nice machine... I know /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'm curious - How did the Yanmar work out for you? I read a lot of references to them, but rarely from someone who owns one.

Thanks,

The broom is for my 800 foot asphalt driveway which runs through the woods. Leaves in the fall, snow in the winter, debris the rest of the year.

Cleaning it with a leaf blower is getting kind of old.

I had the Yanmar for nearly 20 years, bought it new, a US model, not gray market. Really good quality tractor, just put batteries and tires in/on it.

In fact, one of the primary reasons for replacing it with a Deere is the Yanmar-built engine. Tough, powerful, and bullet-proof.

Glad to hear it - I am so far really impressed with my 4310 - The engine is a strong point for me - and it's very economical as well.

That motor in the 4300 and 4310 is quite easy on fuel I noticed in 2 year I owned one. It is very quiet too.
