Congratulations. I recently bought a 4310 power reverser with a 430 loader and LX5. It really is a great tractor. Enjoy!

We decided on the 4310 with e-hydro, too. We love it! Any chance you can switch to the 430 loader? We were going to get the 420 loader, and switched to the 430 at the last minute. We couldn't handle the large rhododendrons we frequently move or stump-grubbing without the slightly larger loader. The price difference was only around $400-$500 for us, and it might be worth it?!

Well its here. Got it yesterday morning and had the loader on buy last night. (I saved 150.00 in labor at the dealer by doing it my self). I decided on the 4310 due to the price and it was about the size I needed. I will be using it for mowing 8 acres, finish landscaping 3 acres, 1/4 acre garden, planting food plots, cutting and raking hay, and any custom work that I can round up. I went eith the 420 loader because it was about over 500.00 cheaper than the 430 (and i couldnt afford another penny), but i think for my uses the 420 will me fine, it has a lift of over 1000 lbs.
Well it cold and wet here in Arkansas so I havent got to do anything with it, but soon as the weather lines out I will be busy for days. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Congratulations! Deere is the way to go. I hope it is trouble free for you. If you have any questions on certain conditions or problems go to the dealer asap. I waited, thought things were ok because they worked that way on older tractors, not all deere models either. like the fogging of the insturment panel. This forum and others are a great place to get info, and help. Good look.

jmasengale,

congrates on your new rig. When I started looking for tractors I headed for the John Deere dealer first. I just wished I had a better turn out. The first dealer I won't talk about. The second one I did really like the guy, was fairly close to my place, but he was so far out on price i couldn't believe it. I was trying to buy a 4100 at the time. He had a used 4100 and could not get me a new one for three months he said. When I got the price for the used one I just was uncomfortable with the price so I decided to check around some on other brands. I looked at Cub Cadet and then New Holland. I ended up getting a brand new TC21D for a grand less than the used one. I did make a mistake and ended taking the 21 back for a TC29D. Anyway I am happy, pocket book is ok but I do have blue instead of green. The 4X10 units was not available at the time.

Anyway enough about me. Take care of that rig and have fun with it. There is nothing more relaxing than to come home from a hard days work and get on the rig. The high price on the used rig may of been because the dealer knew he was the only one around with a 4100 new or used and knew someone out there would buy it. Or he thought I was easy

take care

While I must admit not knowing too much about the JD 4310, I saw one at my JD/Kubota dealer and thought it was a great looking tractor. JD does a swell job of laying everything out. It is in the ball park of what I am going to consider. Just waiting to pickup a brochure. Rat...

thcri

the tc29d was my second choice, i think it is a very fine tractor. one reason i went with deere was because i know the salesman and he gave me a heck of a deal, only about 800.00 more than the tc29d.

thanks
for all the comments guys. i cant wait for it to dry up and the grass to green up
