New 400X loaders

Wow I could not believe my eyes when I had to get a rotary cutter off the semi today. There on the truck was a new 400X loader. Looked very well built more than my 430 loader. I like the curved arms.

Anyone use one yet? I would have liked to get this one on my 990 but I suppose the curve to the boom would make it look out of place. Nice loader and a new mounting system it looks like. Now square masts on our tractors now but they appear to be round. 4000 series owners trade in while you can! Not kidding!

I was told by my dealer that the new loaders will fit on the prior models... so I think I'll hold off on the trade for now. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Even if it wouldn't fit I think I can live without the new loader for a spell - seems we've gotten caught up in a style race now that NH lead the way with the new look. Bottom line for me is the "old style" look still moves dirt and rocks quite effectively.

I will admit one thing though - I drive by the local dealer all the time - it's so close it's unavoidable - as we were going by last weekend my wife asked me if I was regretting getting one when I did... I said no... then I jestured maybe just a little. I do think the new look is very nice /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif.

Does your Dealer have the Deere Days signs up? Ours is July 10th.

I can vouch that a 400X fits on older ones as there is a 4600 at the dealer with a 400X installed. I guess they thought the tractor would sell faster with a loader.

Not that I've noticed - But I may have to swing in and look. I've been drooling over some new mowers... I have to admit I'm an addict to that "New Tractor smell".

What are "Deere Days" - anything special as far as deals or giveaways?

Just funnin' sure sounds like a nice loader, be interesting to see how it compares to the LA's...

Deere Days is just one time during the year that your dealer showcases all the new ag equipment like combines and stuff. It also gives you the customer the chance to meet everyone in the shop and at the dealership so you get to know the dealership a little better. We are having a lunch in the afternoon then there will be dinner later on for the well known customers who we have sent invites to. I don't know if dealerships will be having any rebates during this time.

If your talking about my loader yes it is 2 years old but used 3x per year about so it is like new but the fit and finish looked better on the 400x than mine. I priced a 400x out for 3,200 but I can't find loader brackets that will work on the 70 and 90 series. I think the 400x will only fit on the 4000 and TEN series machines. And the hydraulic hoses on my machine are opposite of yours so that is why I had to re plumb the sides of the masts when I switch machines.

The New Holland won't hold a candle in the wind now to the new Deere loader! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The Deere dealer here has a new 4000 Twenty in stock with FEL and either MMM or RFM (I don't remember - never stopped in /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif ). I also saw the new 400x on one of the 4000 Tens that was sitting out. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Don't mean to hijack, but I can't find the lifting specs on the 400x loaders. Are they the same as the 460's or different? I like the new look however it looses the rugged machine look in favor of the stylish look. Still d'like to have one though.
