Kubota L4200
Do the new L3400 and L4400 Kubotas still have the same problems with the PTO and the 3PH that I have been reading about in TBN, or have they been resolved ?

The PTO problem was from back in 2004-2005 or so. Thats long gone. The 3pt is perfectly fine for 90% of people, but there are a few that still feel is substandard.

I have a L3400DT (2006)

No PTO or 3Point problems on mine, and I use implements that require one or both all the time. (Bush hog, box blade, boom pole, PHD)

Problems I have had that others on this forum have also run into are:

Cracked sight-glass
(New one is made from a different type of plastic, if you have the old one replace it before it goes bad, hydraulic fluid is not cheap)

Cracked hydraulic pump intake hose
(I believe the paint makes it inflexible, my replacement was not painted)

Frozen chair suspension
(Mine has never worked, if yours works, keep it oiled, may not be a problem if tractor is kept inside)

Broken fuel filter housing
(I drive my tractor in a lot of brush; I now keep a spare housing just in case, may not be a problem for some depending on the land and work being done)

Over all its minor stuff, I use my tractor hard, I am happy with its performance.

Thanks Chuck, I have broken my filter housing twice, they are surprisingly inexpensive but having the tractor down is a major annoyance. The filter guard is a good idea.

Arky217 looking back at the original question, I do not believe the L4400 ever had any PTO problems; its PTO is completely different then the L2800 / L3400.

The L3400 was exactly what I was looking for in a tractor, if I needed to replace it I would buy another L3400.
