Tractor
John Deere 3320
Hi Guys, I just ordered a 2011 3320 with a rotary cutter and rear blade. It should be here is a couple weeks. I'm looking into a backhoe attachment (not gonna pay JD $7K!) and came across Liberty Backhoes. They are about $4-5k. Anyone know anything about the Liberty brand or know if it is any good? Their prices include shipping.

Thanks!

Congrats on the new 3320 and welcome to TBN! I'm sure you will like the new tractor.

I don't know anything about Liberty BH's (much less the other brands...as I don't own one)....and I cant say I have heard of them. Seems like Deere and Woods are the hoes I read most about. Need to read on 'em.

Congrats on the 3320! You have excellent taste! I wanted a BH for mine too, but couldn't justify the $8k as I can hire a guy to do that work on occasion for a lot less. Let us know when you get it!

Sounds like a good deal (perhaps too good to be true)? They do have a website saying distribution is from Phoenix. Doesn't say manufacturing is from there so my guess is China.

I am 99.9% sure the Liberty hoes are 3PH mounted, and not subframe mounted. You DO NOT WANT a 3PH mounted hoe on you tractor. I also believe they are China made and that will be a problem when you ned parts or a hose because they often use oddball metric threads.

At one time I purchased some custom parts from a china based manufacturing company. They simply designed their own threads based on the O.D. / I.D. of some mating tube parts instead of any "standard". They didn't care about replacement or repair (obviously). I guess that "works"....but....:confused2: Bizarre how things are done at times.

AND....how do you spell shill? Are we being duped? (again) Two posts in two minutes from a first time poster with a new product. I am not Sherlock Holmes....but....my senses tell me something.

Sounds like you got a sweet ride. Did you get a FEL? What size blade? I have dreamed of having a backhoe but my yanmar is way to small to efficiently power one so if i did get one, it would more than likely be a mini excavator.
