Deere 3032e
I am looking into getting a newer Deere, as we are planning on building a house this year. It is currently 4 acres (flat in central OH with almost no trees), but could expand to 10 at the same location. Uses include 6' finish mower, moving snow, maintaining 250' gravel driveway, moving mulch/dirt with loader, and maybe tilling a small garden.

I am considering either a used 4310 or 4410, or a new 3032e.

The used 4410 is a 2002 model with 1150 hours, a loader, 4wd, and power reverser trans (which I like a lot). The dealer is asking $13950. I am not sure how far they would come

The new 3032e with loader, 2 range hyrdo, cruise and 5' rear blade is about $16500 (price after quick email, includes 0% and $1000 incentive when buying 2 attachments). I imagine I could get it down to $16000.

I currently have a mid 70s White 1365 55 hp diesel utility tractor that I will sell or trade in towards the new one.

Any thoughts on the prices or which one is the better route? New with warranty and 0% seems nice, but I know the 4x10 series are great too.

Thanks

All I can say is that the 4310 TLB I owned was a great machine. I've looked closely at the 3032e at my local dealer, and it was barely comparable. The 4310 was a cadillac compared to the 3032e. Good luck with your purchase!

For your size place it seems the 3032 would be a better fit.
The 4310 is considerably more tractor and 10 years older.

Thanks.
I like that the 3032 is new, has a warranty, and 0%. My friend (a farmer with 100hp tractors), has a 4410 that I like and has worked well for him for small tasks. My concern is that the 3032 isn't built to last in the same way the 4x10 series are. Maybe they are and I am just worrying unnecessarily.

The 4000 machines are more tractor than the 3032e. 3 range transmission. More pto horsepower, more hydraulic flow and greater lift at the 3pt.

That said, none of the tractors you are considering are "premier" finish mowing machines! However, they will do a very good job moving snow, moving materials, digging dirt and rototilling.

If you're reasonably certain you will be increasing your property size in the near future - I'd lean towards the more capable tractor. Loader response and pto use will be superior on the 4410. The additional 5hp @ pto would give you enough of a difference to consider a 7' rear finish mower. And of course, the 3pt lift would not be a problem at all with a 2,200lb capacity!

If possible, test drive the different tractors. See how they fit you - loader control, seat, pedal layout. And of course, work the loaders, etc. The dump time, lift time, curl time will be faster on the 4410.

Good luck.
