1) ½ hydraulic hoses which have treaded ends without couplers.
Do I install the couplers with A) dry threads, B) threads with hydraulic oil on them, or C) something else (explain).
2) the new lines contains air. Will this be replaced by A) cycling the valve control lever (forward, neutral, backward) a few time, or B) something else (explain).
3) Tractor old female hydraulic coupler missing dustcap.
Was thinking about replacing or cleaning.
If cleaning, would use paper towels, q-tips, hydraulic oil, wd40, and compressed air. Was thinking it was okay as long as I did not depress the center valve.

1it realy depends on the type of fitting on the hose weather it is pipe thread or what they call ors ors is a strait thread like a bolt with an oring on it never use pipe dope on ors fittings
2yes the air will gradualy work its way out of the lines as you cycle the valve cycle it 5 to 10 times at low speed to get the air out otherwise you could have rapid movement of your cylinders due to compressed air in the lines
3 most female qd have an o ring inside them with a teflon backer a small amount of wd on a lint free rag wil clean and lube it nicely compressed air might blow the o ring out of the groove
