EDIT: this thread is about the new Branson 2510 model, not the 2501 as I originally titled this thread...sorry for the confusion......
Hi, I'm looking for my first tractor. I live in a 4 traffic light town...Granbury, Tx which just happens to be the home of Big Reds. I've been visiting the last couple of weeks trying to decide on which tractor I need. I just bought 5 acres that is way overgrown with brambles, etc. It has probably been 10 years since it has been mowed or cleared. I finally decided the first thing to do is hire an expert with a large tractor/dozer who can rip up all the vines and mow it enough so I can walk the property. That way, I don't have to buy a much larger tractor (heck) but maybe get by with a 2400H with FEL. However, just this week Big Reds got a new tractor...a 2510. It has a Yanmar engine. Seems like it is the perfect competition against Kubota and JD. It is a thousand more than the 2400H. The salesman laughed and said he hasn't sold a 2400 since the 2510 showed up.
However, much like buying any Branson, it seems like I am operating on faith. Nothing on this new tractor on Branson's website, nor any articles that I can find anywhere. It is hard to believe to me that a company would introduce a new tractor and not have advertising lined up and their web exploding with info. I'm lucky to be a Texan and even luckier to live down the street from Big Reds...sure wish the corporate leadership had as much interest in their products and you and I do!
Anyone have info I have missed?
