I recently read in this forum about a new seat for my 2305. This new seat would eliminate the "joke" that is the seat that has to be "lifted, spun around and then sat on" in order to use my backhoe.
I went to my dealer and ordered the new seat to the tune of $590 plus tax.
I went to get the seat today and guess what; the "seat" is actually a bracket that attaches to the old seat allowing it to "spin" around without all the drama.
I told my dealer that $590 was a lot of money for a bracket that didn't even have a new seat attached and they just shrugged.
I then told them to keep the bracket and walked out.
I think that John Deere is pricing themselves right out of the market with prices like that.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what else can be done with my old seat to make it more "user friendly"?
Thanks, Mike
