My 2305 now has 12 hours on it. While driving from my pasture at full speed, I hit a big hole which gave me a good jolt. When I arrived at my garage I smelled coolant. Opened the hood and found the radiator had run into the fan. I can see the top of the radiator has hit the fan. I tried to see why this happened. Looks like the radiator is mounted in soft rubber. I can just push it back and forth.
I can't believe this is supposed to be this way. I know the radiator has to be rubber isolated, but it has too much movement. A new radiator solves the leak, but what to do to avoid the problem going forward.
I hope my dealer takes care of it. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

You have been snake bit on this entire issue, backhoe and now this. I do hope the dealer makes this right for you!

I also have a 2305 and have about 7.5 hours on it. My dealer told me that Deere knows that there is an issue with the Radiator being pushed into the fan. They have a dtec out on this issue so you should not have a problem getting Deere to take care of it. I guess I will check mine again.

Yes that's what my dealer found when I called in. There is a bulletin about radiator position and adjustment. He said hood adjustment is part of it too. I have been having trouble latching my hood as well.
It seems like there is too much movement in the radiator to me. I will be very careful about running fast on rough ground after this. I don't think just adjusting the radiator is the correct fix.
I have to pay to have my tractor picked up and brought back. My trailer is 120 miles away from this property. I think John Deere should take care of the transportation. My dealer says transportation is not included.
I paid over $17k for this 2305 which isn't running and the backhoe will not fit. I am now losing valuable time on my new property which I need to get ready for use. I need a tractor every day and it looks like I'll be without for a week. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I would raise **** about the pick up fee. Tell them to fix it in the field then. Certainly JD would pick up the tab on the trailer since it is a product defect.

Man, I stick to my thinking on buying version 1.0.

I definitely think paying for the trailering should be the least that the dealer does. Especially since this is a known issue at Deere. I think a call to the regional district rep. is in order. I would think that a company as large as Deere would be eager to keep the customer happy. Again, though, where has customer service gone. It has obviously changed severely for the worse since my days in Customer Service at Sea Ray. I am wondering now if I have purchased the wrong machine. Maybe I should cancel my Green and go Orange.

Sorry to hear about the problems. I do agree with you that the dealer should take care of the haul out to keep the peace.

had the same thing happen at 12.1 hours. Deere engineeers are working on a steel strut to stregthen the radiator mounts and provide more ridgidity. Will keep you posted when I learn more. One thing you can count on,Deere will do it right!
