Dear All:

I am the proud new owner of a 1961 Farmall 140, with turfs all around and an aftermarket 3 pt hitch. 2 pto's. Learning alot these last couple of days, but boy, do I love it. I need access to an owners manual, service manual, is there an online source or should I buy one? Looking forward to learning.

You should buy a service manual....by 2 pto's do you mean the standard pto and a belt pulley? .....the '61 123 cu. in. engine is virtually identical to all the rest of the 123s found in Super Cs, 230s, 240s, etc. slight changes in the intake manifold. Near bullet proof engines if you maintain it. Engine holds 5 qts of oil with a filter...change it. I would suggest you change the trans/rear end gear oil (80W-90) as well. The "drop down" rear wheel gears has its own gear oil resevoir..you will note by the "plug" on each side. Ask away, there are many 140, 130, 100, SA owners out here. BobG in VA
