I was just there in August. I took this photo from almost the exact same spot on the Missouri! Very moving.

I visited Pearl Harbor back in June. Very moving to think of the heroics involved with such a disaster. The greatest generation.

When you read the story of the Pearl Harbor attack, you learn that it was the result of colossal failures of intelligence, strategic planning and government policy.
I hope we are never caught asleep at the wheel like that again. But I fear the lessons weren't learned. The efforts by the Chinese in the South China Sea, attacks on our infrastructure, attempts to destabilize our populace and cyber warfare expertise seem foreboding.
