Darn pack of Dogs are wandering the neighborhood, killing chickens, Goats, and everything else they can get to. I saw one of them at 5 am coming out of my mini's stalls (they were thankfully in a secure pasture) and just couldn't get a bead on it quick enough. This has been going on about two weeks now and the animals took off around my lake to another neighbors property. When I went to feed my Goats and Horses this morning, I found two of my Goats had been severely mauled.

I don't know if they belong to the neighbor or not, but I was told yesterday that they might. After getting the $300 vet bill for my goats that were attacked, my new policy is my land is a "your Dog is fair game Period" property if it crosses into my property. I have asked the neighbors in the past to keep their dogs off my land, but was told "dogs will be Dogs"... Wrong Answer......

I hear ya BUT you don't need to be posting on the internet or telling anyone what your intentions are. That could come back to bite you should they get a lawyer.

In the great white north, you are allowed to protect your livestock.

also the laws around dogs are very simple up here. My dog is not friendly to other dogs, so by default I have had to learn the rules. when my dog is "confined" to my property, and a stray animal comes to visit.... its not my problem. If my dog gets loose, and attacks another animal it is my problem. if I take my dog for a walk, I am responsible to keep my dog under control, however if a loose dog approaches us, and I try to prevent an altercation... then still not my problem.

I love dogs, but i would not hesitate to protect my livestock from a dog that repeatably terrorizes.

ask a few neighbors... tell them your story... if they cant be bothered to tie up they're dogs... then oh well.

Dog owners need to be responsible for them... We are. I can't speak for FL but in many northern states, you are allowed to shoot them if they are harassing your animals..

I agree 100% with you, the OWNER(s) needs to be responsible BUT in this great country anymore animal life is valued higher than human life.

Don't get me started on loose dogs. Yesterday, the neighbor's dog attacked me from behind while I was running a Brush Cutter...Scared the poop out of me. But I did hear the growl just in time and he ran off. ... has happened before and the owner is a jerk. Seems to me there are more bad dog owners than there are dogs.

It is an effective and permanent solution.

I have not had a problem yet, but if I do, the owner gets a warning and then stuff happens. Love dogs, but they need to be under control and not aggressive.

I know it's no comparison. It's barking dogs that annoy the f#$% out of me.

You approach someone about their dogs and you might as well be telling Mamma that her boy is in fact a criminal and not a good boy.

Ever do it with a two legged critter instead of a four legged critter?
