Anybody out there have a YM2200 steering fluid cylinder you can give me a good price on? I think that's what it's called. It held in place with the 4 nuts or tapped bolts directly under the dash which holds the steering fluid. Mine broke beyond repair along with breaking the heads of the bolts.

I have just about anything you need for your YM2200, but I think the housing is not the only thing you need. How did it get broke?

Bumped a tree and the force caused the front wheels to jerk left causing the housing to twist just enough to snap the bolts and crack them corners of the housing. How much you want for the housing that you see cracked?

Unless there are other issues with the box that could be welded, or at and minimum brazed. I would be willing to do it for you if I were closer. :( It is a bit frustrating to have something like that happen. Anyway that can be fixed, IMHO.

Danny not that I am trying to take a sale away from you, please understand. ;)

Yeah I thought about having that done but I also wanted to get some prices on another identical part. If he wants too much for it I will try to have it welded back together. Yeah Poland is pretty far so having you fix it is out of the question but thanks anyway..

I sent you a PM on the price on the housing, but having the wrong bolts in it didn't help. Here is a picture of what sould be in the housing.

This reminds me of a related question I've thought about for a long time -

When you hit something like that, the stress at the front axle pivot, the pin at the center of the axle, must be tremendous. Has anyone ever seen that pivot pin or its mount tweaked?

The old Ford and Massey tractors (and Ford cars) had radius rods to transfer crash stress from the outer ends of the front axle back to an attachment point by the operators feet. Why don't Yanmars need a similar reinforcement?
