Just bought a John Deere 450C, 16,700 lb. I need to get it from St Louis to Kansas, about 380 miles. I've used Uship before but I was wondering if I could find transporters other ways. Or I might just buy a tandem dually and pull it behind my 1 ton Dodge. Any advice or know of a trailer for sale around St Louis? Thanks.

How tall is the tractor? Most deckover trailers are over 40" tall so you need to watch bridges and overpasses.

Consider buying a trailer locally and check it out well before putting that much load on it.

If you go with buying a trailer I would go gooseneck if possible. I have hauled many machines that size locally behind a one ton but on the highway and with Missouri hills you will need to take easy and I wouldn't want to do it during the heat of the day as with tandem dual trailers you will be running out of tire load capacity if the are 16's
