Need tractor for fund raiser

I live in rural southern Illinois and there is a guy down here who collects JDs. Every year he and a bunch of freinds cleans one up repaints it has a plow day to show it off along with many other vintage tractor owners, they then sell raffle tickets for the tractor. The money they raise all gets donated to the American Cancer Society. The guy that gets everything together and coordinates everyone has now come down with cancer so, myself along with several other friends have joined the group with hopes of keeping the tradition going. We are in need of a tractor to restore and raffle off, we are willing to purchase it if the price is resonable (the group donates the money, supplies and labor) or if someone would have one they would like to donate that would be fantastic. We are not picky as to what brand but would like to stay around southern illinois, Indiana, or Missouri. Please no basket cases we would like something that is all there and runs. Please email me with anything you might have. Thanks in advance for all your help.

I find that the best bet for finding old iron locally is craigslist.

In the past 6 months I've found a 1951 Farmall Super A and a 1951 Minneapolis Moline BF on that website. Each one cost $1300 and were located within 120 miles of my place.

The Super A runs fine except it won't shift into 1st gear. Looks like a simple fix on the shifter forks.

The BF needs work on the starter. However, I've decided to completely restore the BF so it's in pieces now. Hope to have that work finished in 3-4 months.
