I posted a similar thread on the buying advise forum but figured i would ask here too. I have a 9n that I have used for 14 years. I mostly brush hog with a 60" hog. Also use a 60" back blade and disk. I have a small shed I keep the 9 in so size matters. I just want to upgrade a bit but still be able to use my old implements. The dealer suggested an L2501. Price with 4wd loader and new brush hog. Is 21k with rebates. I like the size of the B2650 same options for 18k. I have not tried to negotiate and the only discounts are what the factory is offering with 0% financing.

So 2 questions. The L will be tight in the shed. So can I get by with the B? One other point, my land is hilly and some of my work would be in the woods so tight. And how are these prices?

Thanks,
Bill

I looked at a G3033, 4wd, w/ FEL, 5' brush hog, and 6' box blade about 13 months back. It was $16,900 with 18' car hauler trailer. That's here in N Texas.

I don't know about the prices but I had a B3200 TLB and it had lots of power, but sometimes the lack of weight effected the performance . I now have a Grand L3540 and I can tell you it's a world of difference. I would buy the L.

The one I purchased a couple of weeks ago was a little over $18K with tax in central Alabama.

GW, what model did you get?

L2501 with the shuttle shift transmission. If you plan to do a lot of loader work, do go for the HST model. Shuttle shift is a little more of a pain in the butt, than I thought it would be.

This is why there is chocolate and vanilla ice cream. I bought the L3301 with shuttle shift because I do a lot of fel work and I want the power of the gear drive. I just do not like hst... but, that's just me...

I am still shopping. I did a little negotiating with Kubota. I also had the dealer remove the bushhog in lieu of a boxblade so most of the reduction is in that.

Here is the deal:
L2501 w/FEL and 6' boxblade $20,740 -1500 trade for my 9N = 19,240

I told him I need to be closer to $18K and he is checking to see what they can do.

Another brand offered me 2K for my 9N and they are about 3K less than Kubota at this point. I would not get 0% so their financing adds about $1500 back into the purchase. That means Kubota is about $1500 more..... If he hits near my $18K number I think that is enough to agree to buy. BUT??? Still unsure where the price should be.

So, what do you all think? $20,740 seems like he has room to come down. I did a search (not many hits) and all I really found was GW in Alabama's thread which is just as he posted here that he got his rig for $18K. I assume price is geographical and I think Kubota's might run 1K higher in WI. Make sense or am I leaving cash on the table?

Thanks,
Bill

Freight could add some to the price as I think they are assembled down here in Georgia? I live in Alabama so very close by.
