Need to be Educated!

Recently I have found a Howard 5 foot rototiller that is for sale. I am planning on visiting the person next week to take a closer look and talk money with him. He informed me that he is selling this for an older friend of his and that the rototiller has only been used a few times and is in excellent condition.

I am wondering in the Howard rototillers are still being made? I could not find any information on weather or not they are still be manufactured. Thank you in advance for any advice.

They are one of the best tillers you will find. I've got an old one that I got used about 6 years ago. It's a 5' one and very heavy. I used it on a 40 hp Jd 1250 with 6 weights on front. It still wanted to bring the front end into the air. If I were you i'd check the weight to make sure it's not to heavy.

I think you will find with some research, Howard made the JD tiller for many yrs.

I went down to look at the tiller today and ended up buying it. It is a model HR4 125-SU. The gent that owns it told me that he has only used it four times and looking at the tines I tend to believe him.

It has sat inside for the past four or five years collecting dust. He had it mounted on a Kubota L-2500

I will be picking it up this coming weekend so once home I will have more time to look it over.
