I think the Mechron uses a Reeves type infinitely variable transmission. I know that Kubota offers a hydraulic cooler and remotes package so I could homebrew a hydraulic PTO, plus the hydraulic dump bed would be really nice. That toolcat looks really sweet but I could buy a Kubota and a skid-loader for that price.
I have an RTV900 with the hydraulic system to the rear and was pretty excited to rig it with a hydraulic powered PTO but found that the pump is not big enough to run a mower like I wanted to do. There is a company on the net that sells a 3 pt. hitch that will work with it and Kubota sells some tools that it will power but a PTO just needs too much more gph wise. The hydraulic dump bed is great though.
