Need TC-40 DA fuel cap gasket dimensions

Good morning guys ! I somehow have lost the fuel cap gasket on my Boomer TC-40 DA tractor. New Holland does not sell the gasket separately. Only way I can get the gasket is buy a new cap for 30.00 plus tax. If someone could measure their gasket for me I could probably make one myself. I need the inside diameter, outside diameter, and the thickness. I'm assuming it's rubber. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks

I checked my TC26DA this morning, not sure if it's the same as the 40DA, my tank is plastic and the fuel cap is all plastic with no rubber gasket on either.

Mine is somewhere close to 3.30 od inches and 2.62 id inches

I checked and your TC40 takes the same part number as my DX55. I pulled the gasket out of mine and it measures:
ID 2.50
OD 3.25
Thickness .125

It is a rubber gasket.

Wish I had seen this, I have a spare fuel bowl for mine.

In seriousness, it's not crazy to change the fuel filter bowl if its hard to see the fuel inside.

It shouldn't be rubber. Not sure what was in my original Boomer 30, but the state mandated 20% biodiesel swelled and melted it (and my first warranty replacement too). My last cap has a new part number, so I hope it's Bio compatible. I'll find out come summer when Minnesota bio ratio ramps up.

Make sure you use a Bio compatible material, like Viton, as it is becoming a requirement like ethanol . I believe rubber is not recommended.

Yeah I'm sure it is not real rubber. When I said rubber, above, I meant "rubber-like" as apposed to cork or some of the other odd fiber gasket materials. I have no way to verify what it is, but it looks, acts, and feels like rubber. As long as the gasket material is rubber-like, and rated for modern fuel, you should be fine these days.

You'd think that. But New Holland was still selling fuel caps that don't tolerate biodiesel less than two years ago. It may "look like rubber" but you have to be more sure or you will be either replacing it, or dealing with pulling bits of "rubber" from your tank.
