Need some info on this CRAFTSMAN garden tractor

Thinking about going to look at this garden tractor. However, I would like to know anything about this one if you know about it. It appears to be an older gear drive Garden tractor. Comes with bagger and cart for 500. I don't really want the cart or bagger. I already have a leaf vaccum and trailer. He told me it blows a fuse every 6 hours or so. Im sure it blows fuses more often than that so im not that na?e. Typically that would mean one of the wires is frayed somewhere and hitting metal. should be an easy find and fix. So what is this worth, is it a dependable machine and wwhat year is it? thanks. From the picture, it looks to be in great shape. click on the dang picture to enlarge it

I bought that same model in April of 2000. I used it to cut grass. Plowed snow with Sears "dozer" blade. It was a good dependable mower. In 2012 the middle spindle bearing on the mower deck seized. Replaced the bearing and was back to mowing grass. Replaced the fuel pump last fall, and then realized that the tractor was out of fuel. Replaced the ground drive belt maybe twice, and the deck belt maybe three times. I sold mine last fall for 550, and it was a lot rougher looking than the one you have pictured.
I replaced the battery twice.
My neighbor bought one in 2004 used it one week, and told Sears to come and get it. His was a piece of junk. Luck of the draw?:laughing:
