Bought a new 7610 last month and have about 5 hours in the saddle. I love the tractor and am totally satisfied that I made the right choice for my property. The only complaint I have is the seat. I'm not one to sugarcoat - bottom line it sucks. Do any of you guys out there have a solution to this? Aftermarket seat? Modification? Any help would be appreciated. If you know of an aftermarket please include a contact or link. I almost bought a JD 2320 just because I liked the ergonomics of it. But, I kept to my senses and went for the Kubota quality. I'm not disappointed in my tractor, just my seat.

On another note, after spending close to an hour moving dirt around while landcaping around my new house (still under construction) I've come to a conclusion. I thought people buy tractors because they have a big place. Now I realize, you buy a big place so you can have a tractor! My Polaris four wheeler has hardly been out of the shed .....

I have had the exact problem on my 7510. I ended up taking off the springs that the seat rest on and cut about an inch off them with a grinder. Worked out great and now I don't feel like I am sliding forward all the time.

Thanks. Does that affect your ride quality?

No, it rides the same. I guess you have to be carefull how much you cut off so the spring do not bottom out.

I saw several similar comments a couple years ago. After living with mine for a few hundred hours, I agree the seat position is all wrong. But even if you cut the springs or place washers under the front of the seat mount or slides to stop the tendency to slip forward, you will lose back support which creates it's own set of comfort issues. Now, as back then, seems the best fix for some may be a new seat of your choice. A search might turn up some specific suggestions.

I don't see why a B2410 seat wouldn't work. I suspect it won't be cheap, but mine is great. You can also put armrests on it if you want to. The seat is one of the improvements the 2410 had over the 7610.

I agree totally, but I didn't want to spend the BIG BUCKS for a deluxe B2910 seat so I bought the optional arm rests and put them on my stock B7610 seat.
