Hi,

I'm looking for opinions on this quote:

B7610HSD-F w/ 352 loader and loaded tires:$14,300

BX2750c front snowblower: $2,800

Woods GB60 box blade: $789

Total = $17,889 + tax.

I figure I can get the box blade cheaper if I shop around. Also, I was quoted The same package w/ B7510 for $1,000 less but I figure $1,000 isn't that much over time for the extra HP. I am located in Maine.

The price on the B7610 w/ LA352 is the same as the better price I got here in NH. You might be able to do a little better on the snowblower, but not too much around here. The price on the box blade is the same as I saw on a Landpride today near here........ good luck!!

That's an OK price but as you say, you may be able to shop around on the attachments. And I agree, for an extra $K, I'd grab the horsepower. All said and done while shopping, fuel, internet time, time to retrieve, time on the phone, etc... for the savings, is your time worth maybe $100 - $150? Especially deliverd and a done deal.

Tax in TN is 9.5% and most of the greedy dealers (not all) want a $100 document fee. Now what's that all about? I refuse to pay it. I have walked away from many decent deals because of the principle of that matter. It's like paying a shop fee at an automotive repair place. They want you to pay for their expense of cleaning up a job. Not this white boy.

Hi Peter -

While it's 3 years since I've had my B7610 and I really shouldn't comment on quote (looks like it is virtually unchanged from what I paid for my B7610 & FEL) - I had only a $800 difference between B7610 & B7510....

I will say that if your property has the same rocky soil that I have in North MA (NH Border) - you WILL need all the extra FEL power you can get - and would recommend the B7610 with the LA352 over a B7510 based on that feature alone. See the pics link in my signature - and go to "LA352 Front End Loader" to see what I've used mine for.

In regards to attachments: if your snowblowing needs (ex. driveway) are not too severe - and you don't mind driving backwards - a 3PH snowblower can probably be had for less that the front mounted ones. This leaves the FEL in place - so that you can clean up any "berms" left by plow trucks etc. I got a used 50" 3PH snowblower 2 years ago and it moves lots of snow - but I'm not clearing a 300' driveway either...

Hope that helps -

Cheers,

Dan
