Need Oil Filter for Kubota L1500

I bought a Kubota L1500 recently. I wasn't aware of greymarket tractors then. But apparently, I bought one : ) Looks good everything seems to work. I wanted to change all the fluids but the only part I can't find is the oil filter. It is the bolt on type. Any idea where I get this type of filter? Any Canadian suppliers? Also need parts for a 3point hitch - (see attached photo). Any help is much appreciated.

Hello Mitch...

I noticed on your other post, bheath replied that the US model equivalent to your L1500 is L175. Checking with wix.com the Wix cartridge filter for that model is #51302. KennyV.

What is a bolt on type ? Do you mean spin on ? What is the engine model # . Kubota dealer should be able to assist you if you have the engine model and take in the old filter . I have a case of oil filters I bought through E-bay for an L245 That fit my L2201DT . My engine is an 1100 something. I bet your situation is similer . Take a photo of your filter and post here so we can see.
Also , the 3 point parts can be purchaced locally at your Kubota dealer or they are on E-Bay all the time.

Here is a place that I have used before. They carry filters and 3-point parts.

I asume by bolt on type you mean that it is held on by a bolt through the middle of the filter. If that is the case then the only place to find one is through a place that deals with gray-market Kubotas and Zen-nohs. I work for a Kubota dealer and there is no way for us to get this type of filter through Kubota of America. I have also tried to cross this filters at the local filter house and local auto parts with no luck.

The WIX # 51302 is a bolt through the middle filter…

IF the L1500 is in fact the same as the L175, as stated by bheath, it will fit. KennyV.

Thanks for the replies! That's what I was looking for. Now all I need is to add the parts for the 3 point hitch, a mower, an auger, tiller...etc..etc... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Curious about your tractor. Any idea what year it was manufactured? I noticed you don't have a ROPS. Is that usually the case with a gray market tractor?

Also, is it built to accept standard 3point hitch arms and top link, or will it need to be modified to do that?

Not sure what year it was manufactured but based on the research I have done on the internet, I believe it is a late 70's to early 80's model. Yea no ROPS - not sure what to do about that. I believe it will accept standard 3point hitch parts - still looking into that. Thanks for everyones help - this is a great site.

CHECK with NAPA they carry filters that will fit kubota, the filters are made by WIX
