Kubota BX 23 TLB
Hi All,

I'm new to TBN, but already a HUGE FAN! I bought an old 3 acre apple orchard about four years ago that was "let go" for years by the former owner. Needless to say, there's a ton of bittersweet and multiflora rose to remove, landscaping, wall building, etc. to be done, and I'm finally at a place where I can afford the 0% financing on the BX 23 that I yearn for.

I'm in Western Connecticut and was wondering if anybody has info. on the reputations of the Kubota dealers in the area. Also, any other advice re price and options would be appreciated. I've heard a number of people suggest on previous threads to ask the dealer to throw in welded hooks on the FEL and bar tires, etc.

Thanks in Advance,
Hen

Hi...

Yellow pages has some listings...

I'm in west-central Ct...

Bob Wolff at Woodbury Tractor in Woodbury, CT 203.266.4845 seems straight forward to deal with. It's a small operation (1 person?), he sells Kubota's but is not a Kubota dealer... buys thru a Kubota dealer in PA I understand...

Last fall... I priced then purchased a Kubota L3130 tractor package... w/ loader & backhoe & cab... + other stuff... gave 4 dealers same printed specifications sheet for the quote..

Bob Wolff Woodbury Tractor...

Ruewet Sibly's (spelling?) in New Milford CT - Route 7...

Their other operation in Torrington CT (forget name)...

And finally Giddings Equipment... the oldest Kubota dealership in Vermont (west-central near Rutland) 802.483.2292... family owned & run...

I purchased from Giddings Equipment in VT... best price by ~$2,000-3,000... most knowledge... great insights in proposed uses... very helpful... straightforward... they deliver to CT too... I've since met & talked with him several times... nice guy... you can give my name as a referral if you want... send me a private message if you want...

I showed Bob Wolff the quote from Giddings... (hoped to buy locally)... said couldn't come even close to the price... Ruewet Sibly's 2 places quoted the highest...

Thanks for the info. Dave! I'd definitely be willing to travel for a large price difference, but a lot of people on this site seem to suggest that a dealership nearby is almost a necessity. Anyone have input on this?

Also, has anyone dealt with WESCO in Norwalk, CT or F&W in Orange, CT?

Thanks,
Hen

I purchased a BX2200 from Woodbury tractor and the sale and service I received was outstanding. Robert delivered the tractor to my house and spent a lot of time showing me how to remove and replace the attachments. I found a deal at the time on the internet that he matched the price on the BX2200 with a mower, loader, and snowblower package.

When I purchased the BX23 I found that Woodbury was again in the ballpark price wise. The difference came down to a little more for my BX2200. When I decided to buy at Kahn, in Franklin, it was more about the availablity with several on the lot, and they were a lot more competitively priced on the BX23, than they had been,a year earlier, on the BX2200.

I have had good experiences with both dealers. They both delivered a great deal and great service.

/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gifMany thanks for the information, every bit helps. I work at a Non-profit nature center, so a good deal isn't as much a nice thing, as an absolute necessity, especially if I wish to stay married. Sure a lot of you know what I mean. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I bought mine (BX22) out of state in NY last year. Got it at Emerich Sales and they beat any dealer by an average of $2,000.

Plus no tax! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Sales was very easy and any issues he fedex's the parts. Free.

I would email them.
