Need help with battery for John Deere 3320

My employer owns a John Deere 3320 and the battery has gone dead. The local dealership is wanting $150 for a replacement that comes with a 6 month warranty. That can't be right but I'm having difficulty finding what model/where to purchase it. I have a hard time believing that they engineered this tractor to use a battery that only they control. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For that size tractor, no doubt it's a standard automotive-type battery. Take it out and head down to your favorite auto parts store or other retailer that sells car batteries. If there's not a "group" number listed on the battery somewhere, try to match the size, shape, terminal orientation, and cranking amps.

TY26498 Dry Charged Battery ADD 123.50 USD Battery group 22NF is the battery(BCI) group size no matter who sells it. I'll bet the actual JD warranty is longer than 6 months.

Just as I thought on warranty 12 months free replacement. Please overlook my wobbly red line as I have nerve damage and have a difficult time controlling the mouse. Pro-rata battery warranty for this battery is 36 MONTHS

Any auto supply or Walmart should have a battery of that size and for only 600 CCA it shouldn't be as expensive as the JD store,

Measure the battery box. purchase the highest CCA battery that can be crammed into the battery box.

There is something in my memory regarding battery corrosion problems with JD tractors and batteries and IIRC the preferred solution is an Optima yellow top battery when replacement time comes around. I don't recall if the 3x20's had this problem. My 2007 still has the original battery.

The original battery on my JD 3320 splashed battery juice all over that area of the engine, causes some corrosion. During one of the maintenance visits (likely some item I damaged - I have been hard on it doing stupid owner tricks) I had the JD dealer clean up the engine area and replace the battery (I don't think it was nearly that expensive!) with a new JD battery and its worked just fine since then. No splashing at all.

If you have a Sam's Club Membership I have found the three year free replacement batteries they sell as good as any other I have used at a very competitive price.
